Randall Joseph Downward

The name of the theater comes from my brother Randy who passed away when I was 8 years old. He was 18. He was a talented performer, film maker, artist, technical wizard, had the imagination of a child and the intelligence of Einstein. He loved theater and anything theatrical. He was and has been my inspiration for all I have done with theater in my life. I guess I have tried very hard to carry the torch of all he would have done had he been able to continue on. Although I pale in comparison to him as far as what he had to offer, I strive daily to make sure that his passion for anything theatrical and fun lives on.

To anyone who new him, to my family who loved and continues to love him, to what he can bring to us even in his absence, I dedicate all we do to him. Thank you my brother for instilling in me the gifts of theater.

The Randall Theatre Company of Medford

The Randall Theatre is an intimate community playhouse committed to high quality productions in drama, comedy and musical theater. We strive to bring together the best in Southern Oregon actors, directors and technical staff in an inviting and meaningful setting.

As the only theater in Oregon to offer a "Pay What You Want" program for all of it's shows, the Randall is making live theater affordable for all. Here's how it works: Reserved seats are $22 when purchased in advance online or by calling the theater at 541-632-3258. Or "Pay What You Want" at the door for any unsold seats 30 minutes before showtime. $1 minimum - the maximum is up to you!

We also plan to provide educational programs that will offer the community, from youth to adults, the opportunity to explore the performing arts no matter what their skill level.

The Randall Theater further exists to assist those in the community who are seeking an outlet for their passions and to be a place of hope for those in need of finding themselves.
